Convoy Pole Barn Wedding: Erika and Chris

Weddings are glorious examples of love in its truest, purest form.  It doesn’t matter if that love is a decade old or brand new. The love that is felt on your wedding day is always fresh and nerve wracking as you step out into this new adventure, but it also always exudes the comforts and familiarity of home sweet home because you are with the one that knows you like no one else does.  This is a love that is ready to conquer the world but first has to push through a long day with relatives you didn’t even know you had. In short, weddings are beautiful. And each wedding is unique.

Erika and Chris had their wedding on a lovely November day which started in the comfort of their own home in the little town of Convoy as they got ready for the day’s festivities.  Of course there were things that didn’t go as planned. Did the shoes get polished properly? How do you tie a bow-tie? But despite those inevitable hiccups, the bridal party got ready and it was time to hit the town.  And that is exactly what we did! We headed to Van Wert with time to spare before the church would be open, and we wandered alleyways and parks for all the best spots. Sometimes those unplanned moments truly provide the best memories!  The joy and anticipation for the day was unleashed and despite being a bit chilly, the group savored every moment.

Then despite the fact that it seemed as only a few minutes had past, it was time to get back to the church for the main event.  Loved ones were gathered in the sanctuary waiting and emotions were no longer able to be contained. The wait was over. The priest questioned the bride and groom, and those famous words “I do” were proclaimed by both.  The rings were exchanged, candles lit, and that monumental kiss sealed the deal.

But the day wasn’t over yet!  The party hadn’t even started.  Back in Convoy in their brand new pole barn, a beautiful reception was waiting for Erika and Chris.  New memories were made throughout the whole evening of reminiscing, dancing, and of course, lots of laughter.  The happy couple snuck away to their wrap-around porch for some gorgeous portraits with a beautiful sunset in the background.  Before long, the stars came out and the guests went home as this once in a lifetime, perfect wedding day came to an end.
